MoI Hosts Forum for Strategic Partners and Suppliers

The Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Finance and Support Services recently hosted its fourth annual forum for strategic partners and suppliers at the Capital Hilton Grand Hotel in Abu Dhabi.


In his speech on the occasion, Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Juma, Deputy Director General of Finance and Support Services said that the annual forum emanates from the police leadership’s keenness to promote and strengthen relations and reinforce communication between the ministry and its strategic partners. It aims to identify strategic partners’ needs, get acquainted with their current and future expectations, and exchange opinions and ideas, in a bid to achieve the vision and mission of the Ministry to bring happiness to customers and provide them with excellent high-qaulity services.


Brigadier Juma noted that the Ministry of Interior has dedicated particular attention to the transfer of knowledge and exchange of expertise, and has introduced several electronic systems to provide staff members and especially leaders with scientific and practical knowledge and expertise, in order to leverage this knowledge and expertise to raise the level of performance and achieve leadership, excellence and quality.


Towards the end of his speech, Brigadier Juma expressed his hope that the forum will strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and its partners to upgrade police work to the highest levels. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the forum’s organizers and participants and wished them the best of luck and success.


Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Suhail Al Afari, Head of the Procurement and Warehouses Department, said that the Ministry of Interior and under the directives of the police leadership, is keen to honor all entities and institutions that play an active role in promoting community partnership, in a way that would achieve the vision, mission and goals of the Ministry, especially with respect to spreading security and tranquility in society, improve the quality of services provided to the public and cater to the needs of community members.


Lt. Colonel Al Afari added that the forum represents a link between staff members, leadership, partners and suppliers, and serves as a platform for dialogue, discussion and exchange of ideas and information for the benefit of both the Ministry and the country, to achieve the goals of the UAE Vision 2021.


Concluding his speech, Lt. Colonel Al Afari expressed his thanks to all the suppliers for their unrelenting and ongoing cooperation with the Ministry, praising their valuable contribution to achieve the strategic goals envisioned by the MoI, and their sincere efforts in support of security work. He then wished them further progress and success in their careers.


Colonel Expert Dr. Ibrahim Al Dabal, General Coordinator of the Khalifa Student Empowerment Program, ‘Aqdar’, gave an overview of the program, projects and initiatives that were implemented in cooperation with the ministries and national institutions. He also reviewed the various aspects of the program’s Charter.


For his part, First Lieutenant Khalfan Mohammed Al Kaabi gave a presentation that included the updated Suppliers’ Guidebook for 2017; the Suppliers’ Assessment Results for 2015; the Suppliers' Satisfaction Results for 2015 and related feedback. The forum also discussed a number of ideas and proposals; a brainstorming session was also held for participants in the forum.


The forum was attended by Colonel Adel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Director of the Finance Department; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ahmad Hamad Al Alkim, Deputy Director of Procurement and Warehouse Department, directors general and heads of departments, and a number of officers at the General Directorate of Finance and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior.
