Reviewing Preparedness of MoI Teams Participating in the ‘Arabian Gulf Security 1’

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates-Tuesday 25 October 2016 [ AETOS Wire ]

Brigadier Fares Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior and member of the High Commission for the “Arabian Gulf Security 1” exercise, and head of the UAE delegation, accompanied by members of the Commission inspected the Emirati unit already in Bahrain to take part in the exercise. The delegation was briefed about the preparations for the joint exercise, along with other police and security forces from the various GCC countries.

 

During the inspection visit, the delegation members were acquainted with the preparations carried out by the teams to enhance readiness for participating in the drill, as well as the human and technical resources provided.

 

The UAE units and teams have arrived successively to Bahrain since early this week, with their full equipment, military gear and logistics. The teams were received upon arrival by Brigadier-General Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahraini Assistant Public Security Chief for Operations and Training Affairs and Chairman of the Exercise’s Preparation and Planning Committee, along with a number of GCC officers, members of the High Joint Security Mobilization Exercise Commission.

 

Brigadier Al Farsi underlined that this exercise further promotes joint Gulf cooperation Gulf unity in all areas related to internal security within the GCC Member States. “The exercise is the first of its kind in the Gulf region. It was planned mutually by member states and will be executed by security forces from various GCC countries, with the aim of achieving the coveted goals,” he concluded.
