UAE Participates in 12th Symposium and Exhibition on Machine Readable Travel Documents in Canada

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates-Monday 21 November 2016 [ AETOS Wire ]

A UAE delegation representing the Ministry of Interior and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) took part in the 12th Symposium and Exhibition on Machine Readable Travel Documents (MRTDs), which is held by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada.

A number of leading technology and security solutions companies also took part in the exhibition, to showcase a broad range of products and services related notably to machine-readable travel documents and travelers’ identity. A number of ICAO Contracting States also participated in the exhibition.

The UAE delegation was headed by Major Jamal Ahmad Al Dheeb, Head of the Passports Section at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. It includes Major Walid Ahmed Saeed, Deputy Director of Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi International Airport; First Lieutenant Saeed Salem Al Niyadi, Head  of Issuance and Cancellation Section; Sergeant Amer Al Jabri, Business Analysis and Development Branch Manager, in addition to Tarek Mahboub Musabeh, Director of Policies, Regulations and Planning Department at the General Civil Aviation Authority.
