Kuwait Pavilion Concludes Expo 2025 Osaka journey as One of the Most Admired and Celebrated Pavilions

As Expo 2025 Osaka concludes, the Kuwait Pavilion marks the end of its journey as one of the most talked-about national pavilions. With its bold architectural presence and compelling content, the pavilion stood out for its ability to engage, inform, and inspire.

Since its opening on April 13, 2025, the pavilion has welcomed millions of visitors and was recognised as the most popular among all pavilions. Situated in the Empowering Lives district, it offered a dynamic, interactive experience that introduced global audiences to Kuwait’s heritage, environment, people, and future aspirations. Its engaging exhibits and interactive features were thoughtfully designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive and memorable experience for everyone.

The pavilion’s design, inspired by Kuwait’s sea and desert landscapes, was one of the Expo’s architectural highlights. Its open structure, crowned by a central dome, housed multi-sensory storytelling and digital exhibitions that showcased Kuwait’s evolving identity and ambitions under the Kuwait Vision 2035.

Beyond the design and content, the pavilion attracted widespread media coverage from leading Japanese and global outlets. It was consistently highlighted for its clear messaging and cultural depth, becoming a model of how soft power can be used effectively to build visibility and foster dialogue.

The on-site restaurant earned acclaim for bringing traditional Kuwaiti flavours to the world stage. It quickly became one of the Expo’s most visited culinary destinations.

Reflecting on the journey, His Excellency Mr Salem Al Watyan, Commissioner General of the State of Kuwait Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, said:  “This pavilion was Kuwait's message to the world. It told our story with honesty, pride, and openness. We shared our values and our ambitions, and we listened to those of others. This exchange, and the connections it fostered, will remain one of the most powerful outcomes of our participation.”
